Why Proper X-Riser Deployment Matters

An Expandable X-Riser Base is designed to be fully expanded and properly positioned before use.

Some portable stages use a surface-mount design where the platform rests on top of the riser. With this type of design, it is possible to position the platform before the riser is completely expanded.

We've all seen videos and images of accordion-style risers damaged or crumpled. While the cause of any individual failure can vary, an improperly deployed riser isn't in the configuration it was designed to be used in, and may result in failure.

LimeLight takes a different approach.

Deep NEST: Proper Deployment Built Into the Connection

The LimeLight Expandable X-Riser Base nests inside the platform's Deep NEST Perimeter.

Once fully expanded, the X-Riser Base's corner feet fit snugly between the SecureLock supports and platform perimeter corners, positioning the base exactly where it is designed to sit.

Most importantly:

The SecureLock connectors cannot engage unless the Expandable X-Riser Base is fully expanded and properly positioned within the platform perimeter.

Proper deployment isn't simply an instruction.

SecureLock connectors can be released from around the stage perimeter, eliminating the need to search underneath individual platforms for platform-to-riser connections.
